About Me

I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist who has worked in the NHS as well as maintaining a private practice in East London for many years. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space in which we can think together about what sort of life you want and what may be holding you back.

I work with individual adults on an open-ended or time-limited basis.

I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling, and abide by the codes of ethics of these professional bodies.

My approach

I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy – an exploratory, open-ended approach which takes whatever is on your mind as the starting point. From there, we will follow the thread to discover more about your feelings, desires and fears. As you gain in understanding, you will learn more about why you feel and behave the way you do. This understanding will help you to have more choice about how you show up in relationships with others and yourself.

I meet you where you are, as an individual, with unique concerns and needs. The encounter between two authentic individuals is at the heart of how I work, whether it takes place online or face to face.

Some of the many issues I have helped people with include:

·      Anxiety

·      Depression

·      Relationship difficulties

·      Self-esteem and imposter syndrome

·      Grief and loss

·      Body image and eating

As well as the above, I have a special interest in working with artists, performers, and anyone engaged in a creative pursuit whether for work, pleasure or both.
