Therapy for Insight and Growth

We live in a world where it can feel like everything is at our fingertips but nothing is quite in our grasp. As we rush from one thing to the next, space to slow down and think, to listen to ourselves and to really be listened to, is rare. I believe that real, careful attention is one of the most precious things we can offer to ourselves and others, and that this is what effects lasting change in therapy. Maybe you don’t need to be fixed. Maybe you need to be heard.
You may be feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns or unsatisfying relationships. Maybe you’ve been struggling to make a change on your own but nothing is working. I can help you to make sense of your feelings, understand yourself better and feel more in control of your life.
It can be daunting to reach out to a stranger and begin to open up about thoughts and feelings you may never have spoken about before. But, through being listened to and accepted, you can start to feel less alone.

I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist who has worked in the NHS as well as maintaining a private practice in East London for many years. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space in which we can think together about what sort of life you want and what may be holding you back.
I work with individual adults on an open-ended or time-limited basis.
I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling, and abide by the codes of ethics of these professional bodies.

I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy – an exploratory, open-ended approach which takes whatever is on your mind as the starting point. From there, we will follow the thread to discover more about your feelings, desires and fears. As you gain in understanding, you will learn more about why you feel and behave the way you do. This understanding will help you to have more choice about how you show up in relationships with others and yourself.
I meet you where you are, as an individual, with unique concerns and needs. The encounter between two authentic individuals is at the heart of how I work, whether it takes place online or face to face.
Some of the many issues I have helped people with include:
· Anxiety
· Depression
· Relationship difficulties
· Self-esteem and imposter syndrome
· Grief and loss
· Body image and eating
As well as the above, I have a special interest in working with artists, performers, and anyone engaged in a creative pursuit whether for work, pleasure or both.
